brookside
Here are some shots I took of the completed “Brookside” amenity center. Inspired by French and English garden design, the layout balances asymmetry with formal tree allees and geometric shaped shrub/groundcover beds. Clipped evergreen borders (walters viburnum) frame softer interior plantings like fountain grass, plumbago, and lorepetalum…. even pulled out the giant pampas grass for this one! Olive trees, native sycamore, live oaks and Italian cypress are used for trees – and NO palms. The hardscape is simple but practical – earthy tumbled pavers paired with chic eggshell fabric furnishings. The blue accent colors were pulled from the community logo (designed by DR Horton) and used in the playground and other elements for color pop.
